We're incredibly proud to announce that the long-awaited debut album of singer-songwriter Silje Leirvik, 'With The Lights Turned Out So Beautiful', will be released on the 12th of November, 2012, on Autumnsongs Records.

This is a collection of darkly-captivating songs, graced with Silje's disarmingly-alluring voice, that will manage to both pull at your heartstrings & unnerve you. It's warm, yet cold at the same time. This is an album of contrast, both dramatic & emotional, which is tied together with a feeling of seamless continuity. The combination of dynamic arrangements, haunting orchestrations, & one of the greatest voices of our time, gives us a very special album — one that sets the tone for what will be a very important career in modern music.

Recorded over the course of a year, with Rhys Marsh producing, 'With The Lights Turned Out So Beautiful' takes us on a roller-coaster of a journey, through the beauty of 'Wave Of Emotion', the embittered 'The World Of Your Words', the uplifting 'With Me', the full-on soundscapes of 'Siren', coming to an end with the resigned-sadness of 'I Was'. This album is, quite literally, a wave of emotion.

Silje has wanted to make an album for many years, but it’s only now that the time is right. When it’s released, this November, you’ll know that it was worth the wait.
